Burgers:- Most common item of food
- Different styles in different regions of the country
- Can be homemade or frozen
Hot-dogs/Bratwurst:
- Very common at tail gates
- Bratwurst is more common in the south
- Typically frozen/store bought, not many people make their own
- Different regions of the country have different toppings
Chicken Wings:
- Not as common as the above two
- Usually pre-made at home, then grilled at the tail gate
- Buffalo wings, Hot wings, BBQ wings there are a lot of varieties
This is my favorite. I usually marinate them the night before and grill them the day of. I'm always trying new sauces for the wings but my usual is spicy buffalo ( mostly made of Sriracha + Frank's Hot Sauce ).
